I like for students and parents to have something to show for their efforts in music, whether it be a recording or performance. I tend to get my students more excited than most because I prioritize understanding my students’ taste in music. I taught students at any place they were convenient with: sometimes at my studio, sometimes at their homes. I loved teaching when I first started. I choose to work step by step. Not to force them or pressure them on anything. As I mentioned above, having this balance between having fun, enyoing and learning how to be responsible and dedicated, is healthy and efficient! Important is to understand that to learn an instrument, you also need to practice, at least 30 min per day and not just only wanting to have the lesson, because the progress will be very minimal and slow, and the learning process will become very boring. I am very passionate about music, and I try to motivate my students towards a similar love of music of all styles and genres. In 2014, I have completed my studies at Boston University, where I completed a PhD in Musicology with a focus on jazz of the 1930s and 1940s. I am a freelance saxophonist living in north Baltimore close to Towson, Maryland. I graduated from Towson University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz and Commercial Music Performance. I play in many original improvisational music ensembles, jazz ensembles, as well as with the wedding band collective Bachelor Boys Band.
