I learned the Kodaly method in school and plan on using that method for my students. Regardless of which direction the student wishes to take their musical development, a foundation of classical training is mandatory. I do not teach with one method but what the student needs or requests. It is not what I want but what the student wants. I use both the Suzuki method and the traditional method and sometimes I combine them into my own method to give the student what he/she needs. I method is just a way to achieve an end result.
