After college, I taught piano, guitar, and general music as a volunteer teacher in rural Malaysia for one year. In graduate school, I instructed two courses of ear training every semester. I studied drum lessons at 12 years old and studied jazz and swing drumming early on. I was a percussion major in college then spent a few years in Austin Texas traveling with country, rock and blues bands. Have played on over 20 records. I'm a pianist, I've been playing playing the piano since I was 10 years old, currently 25 years old. A major highlight in my musical education was attending the high school for performing and visual arts in Houston Texas where I studied under Mr. Morales who shares my last name. I've performed with various chamber groups but I have spent my time mostly doing solo work.
