I am a committed and caring teacher and performer who is extremely dedicated to my passion for making and sharing music. This past summer, I graduated from the Royal Academy of Music with a first class honors masters degree in violin performance, from where I also received my undergraduate and teaching degrees. I have been teaching trumpet since 2008 where I have been giving private, in home instruction. All of my students take part in the NYSSMA festival and annually score at the top of their class. Some students have made it into the SCMEA, NYSCAME, and All-State Festivals. I am a trained classical trumpeter and I am proficient on the Bb, C, Eb, A piccolo, G Bugle, and Flugelhorn trumpets. The classes are planned based on the individual's voice range. In general, classes begin with breathing techniques, followed by vocal warm-ups. Students at a beginner level will learn German lieder or Italian songs from the "24 Italian Songs and Arias" from the Schirmer's Publishing. (i.e. concert pianist, recording session pianist, college degree in art performance, hobby etc...). With all my students, I recommend different repertoires and approach on how to develop a solid techniques.
