Music has always felt right whenever I perform. I decided in high school to be a music major after participating in many honor festivals. With beginning students, I like to use a combination of Alfreds Basic method books. I like the variety it gives students from fundamentals to performance tunes, sight reading and music theory. Students will progress from playing on black keys only, hands separately, to simple five key songs very quickly. We would also explore a few minutes in each lesson on games in music theory on iPad or with manipulatives so they will develop note reading skills. Read More

Being a self taught musician I know how patience is needed when you're learning to play any music instrument. I like teaching students at their own speed. I won't try to get ahead if I see the student is struggling to learn. I like making sure my students learn but most importantly remember what has been taught during the lessons. I don't like overwhelming you with lots of information specially if you're too new in the field. Read More

I'm really passionate about teaming up with local homeschools to give middle schoolers the chance to dive into music, especially if they don't have access to regular music classes. It's all about breaking down barriers and letting these eager minds discover their musical talents. On top of that, I bring my know-how to private teaching. Read More

I started professionally teaching bass and guitar in high school. I still have all of my students that I started out with. Making sure that my students don't get bored during a lesson is my main goal. Most students don't practice what they were taught in a lesson if the lesson was boring. I make sure that all my students stay happy in the lesson and excited to learn new things. Read More
