Being a teacher is by far one of the most rewarding choices that I have ever made. Seeing a students growth and development is absolutely astounding. I believe that each student is very individualized, and no student learns exactly the same as another. As an educator I aim to introduce my students to skills that may be applied to life outside the practice room. I teach them to communicate, build confidence, and most importantly, develop patience. In 2013 I graduated from Bowling Green State University with a master's degree in saxophone performance. Prior to this, in 2011, I graduated from the University of Calgary with a bachelor's degree in the same field. My experience is derived from my work as an instructor at an Ann Arbor music school. I have taught a wide range of ages, and enjoy every age I teach for different reasons. I believe everyone has something new to offer. I have played in punk, rock, and ska bands, as well as playing with certain groups at the music school.
