I'm a passionate instructor who cares deeply about a students education. In 2015, I graduated from West Johnston High School as drum captain in my band program. Since then I've performed in Alchemy Independent, an open class indoor percussion group. I've been with the group since 2017, and I have completed 2 seasons with them. My instruction follows a broad method of teaching technique as well as musicality. I use method books such as Arbans, Clarke, Frink, Schlossberg, Concone, as well as several etude books like the Voxman series, Charlier, and others. Depending on the student's knowledge, I can teach theory concepts so the student can better understand the broad aspects of composition and improvisation. I started teaching piano at age 16 after being certified by my own instructor. I had one student I saw weekly and though at first she was against the piano, I worked with her intensely on genres and styles that she enjoyed playing. I also substituted for my piano instructor when she was sick and taught a plethora of children. When I volunteered at the local elementary school, I taught grade schoolers piano on the upright in the auditorium and that's when I fell in love with inspiring future musicians. Read More

I am a professional concert violinist and have been happily teaching violin for 11 years. I have my Master of Music degree in Violin Performance from University of Oklahoma and a Bachelor of Music degree in Violin Performance from Western Michigan University. During my student years I had the pleasure of serving as the concertmaster and assistant concert master of my university symphony orchestras, and was a paid member of the University of Oklahoma Graduate String Quartet, which served to showcase the music school in regular public concerts.
