I started teaching private piano lessons to all ages and abilities when I was in college. I have experience with beginner level students ages 5-adult and intermediate level students ages 6-14. I have experience teaching traditional classical piano (reading sheet music), as well as pop piano (reading lead sheets). I teach Wunderkeys to pre-schoolers ages 4 5. This method gives them a head-start in math as well as patterning. I start beginner piano students (ages 6 and up) with Faber's Piano Adventures. I introduce intermediate students to Alfred's Premier Piano Course as this method starts them on solo repertoire. Students are encouraged to pursue music in the way that will keep them engaged reaping maximum benefits whether that be to build parts of their brain that would have otherwise lie dormant, or become the best solo performer they can be.
