I start the student first by using The Mastery book by William Dick and Laurie Scott to learn the basic technique of the instrument. As soon as I think the student is ready I start teaching simple songs by rote. I have almost 30 years of experience as a recording and performing musician. I studied in Detroit, London and Los Angeles, and recieved my BA in music and Performing Arts in 20011. Since then I have made a living writing pop songs and movie soundtracks, performing and teaching.
