When I have a good idea about my student's ability and skill level, we begin with focusing on what needs to be improved. For beginner children, I like to focus on the fundamentals and keep interest with keeping things creative, exciting and fun! I believe when learning anything, one should be comfortable to fail and ask questions. I try to make sure this is understood right away.
