I have been teaching trumpet since 2008 where I have been giving private, in home instruction. All of my students take part in the NYSSMA festival and annually score at the top of their class. Some students have made it into the SCMEA, NYSCAME, and All-State Festivals. I am a trained classical trumpeter and I am proficient on the Bb, C, Eb, A piccolo, G Bugle, and Flugelhorn trumpets. My teaching experience started 8 years ago, when I began teaching private lessons part time while studying. Since 2006, I have been consistantly teaching students in my home studio as well as in several music schools. I taught novices as well as professional actors. Beside vocal lessons, I have been teaching Piano and Flute for beginners, provoding Ear Training, Music Theory, Improvisation and Songwriting classes and led young musicians to their entry exam for College / University studies. I focus on the individual more than anything else. I tailor my teaching style to each student.  When something clicks for them, I stick with it and adapt to keep the student engaged, interested, and passionate about music.  If I find a student is not fond of a certain book or solo, we change course together. I believe that no two students are alike; for each of my students, I create an individual, custom-tailored plan and routine to help solve the most challenging issues in their playing. I advise my students to keep a practice log and write down everything they accomplish and challenges they notice in a practice session. What went well? What didn't go so well? My teaching started in my undergrad, about 5 years ago when I was required to take a Vocal Pedagogy class as part of my major. From there I fell in love with teaching. I was able to expand on my love as a substitute teacher at Rabun Gap Academy in Rabun Gap Georgia in 2012. There I taught five girls ranging from 8-15. I continued that until 2014, I then took on two colleagues, a girl who was 24 at the time and a guy who was 19 and taught them for a year. Read More

I studied at Five Towns College and have since performed with all manner of ensembles including Musical Theatre, Rock and Pop, Metal, Blues, and Opera. My goal is always to make students self-sufficient. I want students to be able to warm-up, practice and improve on their own. I did not become a great singer until I learned how to workout problems for myself. I also want to see students gain confidence and believe that they can perform in public and accomplish their singing goals.
