I am a versatile trombonist who has experience in many musical ensembles. These include orchestral, concert band, brass quintet, jazz band, jazz combo, brass band, and Marine Corps Band settings. I also have a studio where I teach trombone, euphonium, and tuba players. I regularly perform in the Northern Virginia and Maryland area at church services, with orchestras, and with big bands. My teaching experience began while attending graduate school 30 years ago. I have been teaching consistently in my home studio and with the Liya Foundation Summer Music Camp for the past 6 years. At the Liya Summer Camp, I conduct private lessons, sectionals, and assist with orchestra rehearsals. I am a patient, fun loving violin instructor who believes in stretching a student's growth. Having grown up in a large family, I love working with children and relate well to all ages. The love of music is one of the strongest passions in my life. I have been preforming professionally with the U.S. Fleet Marine Corps Music program for almost ten years. Through that program I have been able to perform in sixteen different countries for presidents, vice presidents, kings, queens, and prime ministers.
