I am a passionate instructor who wants to change students lives through music so they have a gift that they can carry with them for the rest of there lives. I have been playing guitar for over 15 years. I have taught guitar for 3- 5 years I am a published artist who loves to give back to the community by sharing the gift of music to our youth. If i can touch one life through music i can touch many...music has changed my life in more than one way and I hope it can change your my love and passion through music had gotten me through a lot of difficult situations and I hope it does the same for you.
I have been teaching guitar independently for 3 - 5 years and I am a published musician who loves to show students how to play by intuition. I will show you the basis of music theory and I am very encouraging of the students. I will always try to bring the students to the next level so they can be masterful of there instrument. I am very kind, fun and reasonable. I will teach you how to play songs as well as write and compose your own and teach you the fundamentals for you to carry the gift of music for the rest of your life.
I start out with basic warm ups scales..etc.. Then I go into 30 min of song learning and the last hour is music theory and teaching a little bit of composition I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. I will give the parents and the students a report of the current progress i will give them notes and material to go by as well. I will give them information they need to practice by to help grow and progress there learning style.
My teaching style is to engage students through the history and love of music and to help them understand the fundamentals of music theory. As the students progresses i will slowly introduce more advance material through the lessons. I will help the student grow and progress and help engage them on the infinite combination of the 12 notes on the instrument. I will send the student home with material to practice because in order to become a better musician you have to practice to develop your skills
