We thrilled audiences in venues such as Sellersville and The State Street Blues Stroll. Lewis's next project was The Philly Rhythm Kings, a Gypsy Swing/Americana band, reaching into the the music of Django Reinhardt as well as American jazz and blues genres. It consisted of guitar, harmonica, bass and drums, with Lewis on guitar and vocals, harp virtuoso Seth Holzman, and a tight rhythm section. I have been teaching students for about twelve years.  I held graduate teaching assistantships at the University of Florida, Boston University and the Boston University Tanglewood Institute.  In addition, I woas a contracted instructor at a private K-6 school in Chestnut Hill, MA.  My students have won auditions and competitions at both the professional and collegiate levels.  While I am passionate and very serious about the art, I also feel it is important to enjoy playing and studying music. Some of the highlights included Ado Annie in Oklahoma and the soloist for “Get all Excited” in Godspell. I also participated in local theater groups in Pennsylvania such as Civil Theater in Allentown, Pennsylvania Playhouse in Bethlehem and The Barn Playhouse in Norristown, Pa.. This experience prepared me for my next adventure; auditioning for Wagner College in New York as a theater major. For beginner students, I usually start off with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements. Once they start to progress. I will move them on to some songs / tab books by their favorite artist. For Intermediate students, I will move them to Guitar Fretboard Workbook by Hal Leonard, as well as Arpeggios for the Modern Guitarist, and a signature Lick book. Once they started to become Advance.
