For any student, I typically start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements series. This method book will help teach the basic fundamentals needed to progress on the instrument. For children, I will continue through the method book series while supplementing it with short popular pieces that may be of interest to the student. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep it fun and enjoyable. Read More

My methods are tailored to the individual student. I focus on proper breathing, posture, and instrument placement in the early part of my lessons. Then, I focus on scales and harmonies. The majority of my lessons consist of Technical Exercises, and I choose pieces/songs based on the students natural inclinations. I started playing violin at the age of nine through my elementary schools string program. In addition to performing with the Discovery Middle School and Timber Creek High School orchestras, I participated every year in the all-county and all-state orchestras and served as associate concertmaster of the Florida Symphony Youth Orchestra. I completed a double major in general music and engineering at Northwestern University in Chicago.
