I have been teaching private instrumental music lessons for two years now. I have gone through a four year degree program in which I've had the opportunity to gain peer teaching experience as well as teaching within various school districts for individual, small, and large ensemble settings. For younger students, I typically start teaching from Hal Leonard's Essential Elements, as it provides a comprehensive method for learning the basics on the saxophne. Once my students have mastered this material, I begin to introduce solo repertoire. For older students, I teach from etude books such as Selected Studies for Saxophone by H.
