I was introduced to music early on by my parents. Being classically trained on the piano I started playing and writing songs at the tender age of seven. My early piano influences are Mozart, Beethoven and Gershwin amongst others. Growing up, I became even more influenced by Pop, R&B, Funk, and Rock artists from the likes of  Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and Prince. As we progress in cello, they would need to purchase a scale book, possibly other Suzuki books, an etude book, as well as other individual pieces that they would learn. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing a student gain confidence in their voice. Singing can be very scary especially at first, but it is my passion to be a cheerleader of the singer. Singing is mostly a mental game, and my passion is to fight that one first. One can have all the technique in the world, but if they don't have confidence, musicality is thrown out the window. I have been playing the piano for 10 years, but have been involved in the musical institution for much longer than that. I have been shaping minds young and old in piano technique and music theory for the last seven years. And, I believe I am an ideal teacher for anyone just starting out to those who are trying to continue from where they left off. Since each student begins and progresses at a differing pace, I strive to create realistic goals for each student at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments along the way always help to improve their desire to learn more. My goal is for the student to enjoy the learning experience as much as I enjoy the teaching experience!
