Instruments: Piano
Im a dedicated piano teacher whose goal is to nurture a lifelong love of music in my students. My passion for piano started at a young age and continued throughout my college years and career. I have worked with students of all ages and across different countries, successfully guiding them through formalized piano programs and garnering loyal students over the years. My passion for music extends into my 2 boys, aged 14 and 18, who play viola and clarinet in orchestra and wind ensemble at their schools in Vernon Hills. Read More

In 2011 I founded a music school for rock guitarists. I have a lot of experience with live stage performances, studio recordings and songwriting.Have taken part in music video production and have average skills in the field. Read More
Instruments: Piano Voice Music
Music is for everyone and I want lessons to always be a safe space, and a fun space. There is no one right pace for people to learn, whatever works best for you! We can achieve this by setting S.M.A.R.T goals, as well as potential benchmarks to rate progress by. I like to approach each lesson with empathy, humor, and curiosity. I think there is much we can learn from ourselves and each other, so I like to keep my teaching focused, exciting, but also attentive to each persons needs and what goals we are trying to achieve in a given day. Instruments: Piano
My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part time 10 years ago, and have been consistently teaching students in my studio for the last 5 years. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. I've also found that a combination of classical and modern music can go a long way in helping students enjoy the piano and motivate them to practice and continue to learn. Read More
Instruments: Voice
Mastering technique is the surest way to leave the student free to express themselves musically. After an initial assessment is made of the student's voice, I create a series of vocal exercises to address any vocal weaknesses/problems. The first 20 minutes of a typical lesson are spent warming up/performing technical exercises. The remainder of the lesson focuses on applying what was learned technically to the music that the student and teacher have chosen. Read More
Instruments: Saxophone
I have a passion for music that I hope one day to pass on to my students. Even if one of my students develops a love for music, I can say I have lived a fulfilling life. In spring of 2023, I graduated from UIC with a Jazz studies degree and my main instrument is Tenor Saxophone. I graduated with college honors and I received the Presser Foundation Undergraduate Scholar award for my musical achievements. Read More
