. I really desire the child to enjoy lessons. I like to build their confidence that they are achieving. I'm strict in how I teach the language of music. I don't half way teach and desire my students to be able to sight read music and understand timing. If i have a student that doesn't understand I explain in in math and they have all understood how important timing is. I love sharing what I've learned about singing through my decades as a Professor at Berklee College of Music, Boston. Berklee is the #1 college that teaches Commercial Music (mostly Jazz and Pop). Currently I sing a combination of pop and classical in church as well as teach fitness in Encinitas. I have written books on singing and American diction as well as having recorded with symphonies and jazz bands. Growing up, I would imitate voices from diffrent cultures from cuban music, mexican and other spanish styles. After introducing myself to a guitar, I realized I was also teaching others how to speak a diffrent language through music. I began teaching part time drum lessons back in 1988; I realized I had a knack for it. After graduating from music school - Musicians Institute in Hollywood CA, I continued to pursue my educational goals attending California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo.
