I started playing the saxophone in the 5th grade. In 2011, I graduated from Miami University with Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education. After working in education as a substitute teacher for 6+ years, I am pursuing a career change. However, I still have a deep passion for music and the saxophone. In addition to performing with local community ensembles, I enjoy working with beginning and improving musicians. As a clarinet instructor, I always strive for bringing a wide variety of different artistic, technical and clarinet related aspects into my teachings. I find it crucial to be able to identify a certain students strengths or weaknesses. When us, teachers, do that, we are not only helping an individual student, we also expand our capacity as artists; we learn new ways to fix certain problems in ones playing. My teaching experience dates back to my early 20s where I began teaching private guitar lessons part time while completing my college degree. This is something I'm extremely passionate about as an adult and would love to continue this journey. My main experience is with guitar but can also teach bass guitar, song writing (in real time or through a DAW), and synthesizer work (through a DAW).
