I have been teaching piano lessons to beginner students to adult students in my home for six years now. Most of my students have been children ages six to thirteen; however, I have also taught adult students as well. I am also willing to travel to the student's home with in my area of Rolling Meadows, Schaumburg, Palatine, Arlington Heights, Mt. Prospect, Des Plaines and Elk Grove Village. For individual study, I use a number of diverse methods, depending on the needs and goals of the student. Beginner students will start with the Hal Leonard Beginner series, focused on mastering the fundamentals. Once a students has mastered the foundational technical scales, arpeggios, articulation; and understanding of time and tempo, we can proceed to augmenting the classical studies with jazz studies. I have been playing the Cello for 19 years, and it is my greatest passion in life. I can rarely contain my excitement when it comes to Classical music, and it is my goal as a teacher to encourage this same excitement about music in my students. I have not only studied as a cellist, but as a conductor and musicologist.
