My began teaching 8 years ago when I taught 3 students to play bass and guitar. We started from scratch and I was happy to see the results in a short while. In a month (10 lessons) we could play a chosen song without mistakes. I still remember that It was Marigold by Dave Grohl. That's what inspires you to teach! Speaking about my performing experience, I have 10 years of playing on stage, including huge open-air city concerts and chamber music events. In studio recordings gave me a strong understanding of cooperation with other instruments (including rewriting your lines accordingly) and attentions to nuances, which are impossible to hear not being recorded. All of these reflected on my teaching methods.
If you are a beginner, we start with right and left hand positions. Once you master main principles and choose the technique (fingers/muting/pick/slap/etc) you move on to working on a line. Then we increase the repertoire and develop various techniques.
If you already have some background, we concentrate on your interests, such as styles, techniques and genres (both hands, finger and/or pick, slap, alternative tuning, chords, composing and line developing, etc.). We can have impressive results with the following methods:
-playing with metronome;
-playing with another instrument (I can play drums, bass or guitar lines);
-playing with a song;
-recording your lines and analyzing them.
I've always practiced flexible and student-oriented teaching style . All musicians are different and I teach looking at your preferences, tastes and background. The atmosphere of my lessons is friendly and open. Nevertheless, it doesn't take us away from our goals. Individual lesson plans are tailored after the first meeting and they are as individual as possible. You can go for having or not having your homework depending on your lifestyle. Goals are measurable so that you can easily track your progress.
My hours are flexible. Please, contact me if my schedule doesn't fit you.
Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.Ok
Are you sure that's your only availability? The more availability you easier it will be to arrange a teacher for you.
