I have been teaching continuously since 2002. I started by teaching undergraduate students at UT and continued in high schools and middle schools in the greater austin area. I encourage students to find the best fit for their interests and talents during lessons. Some students want to be able to sing better in church or school choirs, while others are interested in musical solos or college auditions. I never assume a student cannot succeed. Progress comes quickly with a variety of songs supported by successive exercises and methodology. Parental involvement is highly recommended and I try to work with parents to determine motivational techniques. I have found that students need a regular practice time 4 to 5 times a week, even if it is only a few minutes at a time; but, hopefully, we can find music that they like to sit down and play. I have been teaching lessons since I studied back in Thailand, Singapore, and United States. Currently, I am teaching high school and middle school in Dallas-Fort Worth area. Through teaching, I have enjoyed watching my students succeed and overcome their struggles. The process of experimentation has been a learning one for both my students and myself.
