I had the great pleasure of studying under Allen Vizzutti while completing my degree from the Univeristy of Washington. I have been teaching people to sing for over 20 years.Originally, I am from the UK but for the last 7 years I have been teaching in Freehold NJ. I have converted my garage into a "high tech" teaching and recording studio. As a working vocalist, I am very aware of the importance of taking care of one's voice. I'm hands-on, affirming, and challenging at the same time: I believe in gently recognizing areas of improvement, which we work on through fostering a positive, "no-wrong-answers" approach. I create a safe space for my students and encourage them to explore all areas and facets of the instrument; in doing so, students are then able to express themselves more dynamically in classical music, and to improvise more creatively in jazz.
