I am a passionate flutist and both of my parents played flute so I have played for any years . I am retired librarian and teacher and have taught in public schools. As I have taken lessons from several teachers, I have a brod musical background inclassical, jazz, and Latin music. I currently play in the Pike's Peak flute choir in Colorado Springs and would love to instruct and inspire beginning and intermediate students or play in group of advanced students. Read More

My teaching style is where both myself and the student have the accordion on at the same time. I will demonstrate the bass of the instrument on the left hand at first and have the student play along with me, only on the left side. At the start of the lesson, I will emphasize tone and air control which I've found makes a huge difference as a warm up. The primary books I will work out of are Hal Leonard's Essential Elements. As students progress and I feel that they have a handle on the basics, I will slowly start to incorporate other repertoire that will be exciting to play and perform.
