I understand that it is a challenge for students to go home and practice, so I address this by setting goals for the student. I want the student to leave the lesson feeling proud of what they accomplished and motivated to continue learning. This skill is made through practice: concentrated sessions of self awareness, mindful repetition, and craft. Anyone can learn how to play an instrument with the right mindset and the right instruction. I am a Korean-born pianist and I began playing the piano at the age of 5. I entered and graduated at the top in piano performance from Sookmyung Women's University College of Music (2010) where I earned bachelor's degree in Piano Performance with Special Honor's Leadership Program.
