Lessons NEED to be enjoyable, almost memorable experience. My philosophy is: as a teacher, the student should want to have another lesson the following week. Meaning, having something say a scale, 3 notes, a chord, or almost a whole song really understanding and sticks to the mind. This should make the student want to learn something new the following week, continuing the snowball effect of music theory (jamming as the kids say it). Read More

Teaching style: having the student focus on simplicity...focus on practice, practice, practice....focus on enjoying the lesson, not dreading it. I will assess the students' needs simply by having a conversation first. Then ask some basic questions about what music style is appealing to them. Most important is that whatever the student's level is, just feel comfortable, relaxed and look forward to this wonderful journey that is called "Playing the Guitar"! Keep in mind, my schedule is flexible. Read More

Nothing is more rewarding than seeing the student develop a passion for music! It’s really important to see each student get improved at their own pace! I will try to help them on their own problems and try to discover their own benefits. It’s really important to students to realize how secpial they are, nobody can be copied! So my job is to help you to find your own and work on it until to reach your goal with Music! Read More

I prefer to teach using the Suzuki books, since I believe it is a well rounded learning of fun music while teaching technique and musical abilities. I expect my students to practice at least 6 times a week. My students are encouraged to practice by ear, to encourage the love for music. If the student is more advanced, they will begin working on Carl Flesch Scales and Wolfhart etudes. I will also hand out music based on the student passion be it movie theme songs, Christian, or Celtic. Read More
