Simply put, my methods are based on classical methods involving very specific exercises, as well as carefully chosen pieces that will be an important part of their repertoire as well as exhibit a specific technique I want them to master. I customize my lessons for each student and break down in minute detail exactly what I want them to achieve on the piano daily. At Queens I also devised a curriculum for the Queens College Balkan Music Ensemble, a group which I founded and directed for one semester before graduating in 2012.   Since completing my masters degree, I've continued teaching privately, and performing with my groups, Raya Brass Band and Sherita. I definitely believe in realistic goals and I think one of the most important things during learning is that my students properly know what they have to do to be prepare for the next lessons and to achieve the current goal! I also really encourage my students in having a daily and enjoayble instrument practice.
