I started giving Music lessons 20 years ago. I began giving private lessons and group lessons part time in the afternoons after I finish school in the mornings. Young students come to me asking me for lessons after a Gig or performance. I found very interesting and exiting to see the progress of the students with my own personal methods. We follow a process with disciple but we also have fun and we go to the direction that the student feels more attracted. Read More

My favorite statement to my students is, Be good with the weird. I say this because often times we make crazy sounds and do strange exercises in the learning process, but I promise it pays offplus, Ill do the weird with you! Regardless of what you need help with, we will build on where youre currently at and find specified ways to work on your needs. Its so important to remember that we only have a limited time together - so my goal is to give you the tools and get you feeling comfortable to follow through with the techniques to work on them in your own time (in between our lessons). I approach teaching by focusing on the student. I find out what they need and want first. We set realistic goals together and I give them the tools to help them reach their goals. I don't want my students to be entirely dependent on me. I like to give them exercises to do on their own in between lessons so that time doesn't go to waste and they can see quicker improvement with their own practicing. Read More

I start my students with the basics proper hand positioning, finger strength exercises, and a focus on posture. These fundamentals are the building blocks that pave the way for a lifetime of musical growth. As we progress, I emphasize the importance of scales, arpeggios, and technical exercises to enhance dexterity and finger coordination. Central to classical piano training is the standard repertoire, which offers a rich tapestry of musical history and a diverse range of challenges. Read More

Samantha has given private lessons to all age groups in her private studio and has even helped out with programs for under privileged children. It is her hope to create more musicians as the age of the musician is slowly dying. She has taught in group homes for children, private in home lessons for adults and children. Samantha has also raised funds and written grants to propose that more public schools have private music lessons. Read More

Since then I've also gained a lot of experience with students over the age of 30. A staple of my lessons is to get my students making and playing actual music as fast as possible. While the technical and theoretical side is essential to being a good musician and I encourage a regular practice routine, I find it is even more important to always bring up the reason my students started playing their instruments, their love for music, and incorporate that into the less creative aspects of learning an instrument.
