I began teaching guitar a little bit in high school. Then after college began teaching more and more and my experience grew. While obtaining my master's my focus was on different, unique strategies of teaching. I've taught roughly the ages from 5 up to late 60s. Many of these students I've directed in recitals as solo students or students in a group. I have been teaching for nearly as long as I've been playing. In 2017, I graduated Mansfield University with a Bachelor's degree in Music Business while focusing on Percussion. As a more advanced percussionist, I took it upon myself to assist my fellow new recruits with learning the material outside of regular practice times with the Musical Director. With percussion, we found that taking a piece and breaking it into small sections that were easily repeatable gave the best results.
