When teaching a novice student the drums it is extremely important to note that learning the drums is not an overnight affair. The amount of practice needed for thorough syncopation is not to be slept on. HOWEVER, I genuinely believe once a student hits that learning curve where their arms and legs have "minds of their own" there is an infinite amount of progress that can be made after. I always say music is fun and it should always be whether the student is practicing rudiments, or legitimately playing to pieces from Glen Miller's Orchestra all the way up to Michael Jackson. From there, we can build upon these foundations and explore more advanced concepts and techniques. I believe it is important to not only teach the technical aspect of drumming, but also the musicality and artistry that go into creating drum beats and rhythms. I encourage my students to listen to a wide range of music and try to incorporate different styles and influences into their playing. One of the things I love most about teaching drums is seeing my students progress and discover their own unique voice as drummers. Read More

During my years in Poland I was acclaimed for my exceptional way of interpreting the romantic composers and specially the music of Frederic Chopin. I performed concerts throughout Poland and Germany, most importantly at the Chopin’s Birth Place in Zelazowa Wola, under Chopin’s Monument in Wlazieki Park, The Ostrogski Palace and The Grand Theater in Warsaw. Once in New York City I debuted at Carnegie Hall in 1993 where I played Albeniz, Schumann and Chopin. Read More

I began teaching 2 years ago during my undergrad years and fell in love with sharing the joy of music and singing. As a young kid, taking lessons myself, I constantly was seeking to learn different types of music and always felt like I could never find the right teacher who could help me expand my musical knowledge in the ways I wanted. Because I have a background in instrumental music, I truly believe in the importance of a foundation in theory, ear training skills, and music reading. Read More
