truly believe that singing should be a combination of passion and also technique. My lessons will focus on the fundamentals of singing in order to provide healthy vocal technique and a beautiful tone. It is extremely important in all genres for singing to have support, be able to use breath properly and have an understanding how of use the voice as an instrument properly to acheive a beautiful tone. After a few I would like students to not only have improved their sound and have songs they are confident in performing, but an understanding of how to read music and sight singing at the level of the student. Outside of teaching cello, I spend my time as a Choir Director and a Religious Education Teacher. As for other music experience, I've participated in various orchestras, ranging from the New York University Philharmonia to the Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra. While I love experiencing new things, I also love passing what I've learned on. Read More

I have russian method way to teach. I was taught like this when I was young. Basics of music theory, names, titles, vocabulary. Then i teach first technical excersises. Once we master it we begin simple pieces to apply technique. Then we progress to more complex playing. And pick harder pieces to play. After 25 years of study I still practice my excersices daily. And I teach my students that too. Read More

The methods used in my trumpet studio focus solely on the fundamentals of playing trumpet. For all ages, there is a focus on building breath support, dexterity, and range. For the intermediate and advanced players, there is a focus on transpositions, sight-reading, dexterity, and learning standard trumpet repertoire. All of my lessons are tailored around the student and adhere to the New York State Standards for Music. Methods and other books I use include but are not limited to: Clarke, Gekker, Bai Lin, Schlossberg, Getchell, Concone, and the Amsden's 68 Duets. Read More
