I am a classical guitarist, active teacher and currently accepting students of Suzuki Guitar in the Milwaukee area. I began teaching guitar 10 years ago after receiving my Bachelor's of Music with a Studio Art Minor from the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh. In 2008, I graduated with a Master's degree in Guitar Performance from the University of Wisconsin Madison while studying under internationally famed performer and recording artist Javier Calderon. The lessons are set up to maintain a balance between fun (to keep them encouraged) and necessary exercises to build the foundations that will excel them to the next level. My main goal as a teacher is to instill a passion and appreciation for music, as well as to teach a sense of work ethic. I don't expect that all of my students follow on to becoming a professional musician, however I do expect that my students achieve realistic goals and progress at their own individual pace.
