Instruments: Piano Voice Saxophone
I'm a passionate and motivated instructor who loves working with students and sharing my love of music. In 2023, I graduated from The University of Utah with a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Saxophone Performance. Performing all over the world has been one of the greater experiences of my life as a musician, and I've had the opportunity to play both at the Avery Fischer and Carnegie Halls in New York, as well as the All Saints Church in Rome and Temple Bar in Dublin. My methods vary as I cater towards the individual and his/her respective needs and wants. Some of the methods and resources I draw from include the Suzuki Method, Effortless Mastery, and the philosophy of Music As A Language. Music is a language and I aim to teach it like one to the best of my ability. If I had to put it into one sentence, I would say that my overall personal goal and philosophy as a teacher is to teach myself out of a job. Read More

I am an enthusiastic instructor who enjoys helping students gain confidence and enjoyment with music. In 2010, I received my masters degrees from Eastern Michigan University in Classical Guitar Performance. Since 2000, I have played well over 1000 concerts in pop rock band The Outer Vibe as a writer and guitarist. My touring experience has given me the opportunity to play all across the United States. My background in classical and pop music has given me an appreciation for all music and I love sharing it with students. Read More

Beginner students and I generally start our lessons with Mel Bays Guitar Method 1 and Intermediate to Advanced students and I start with William Levitts Modern Method for Guitar Vol. 2. When students have mastered the fundamentals of their specific lessons I work with them on songs of their choosing and we put those fundamentals into practice. The books that we use for our lessons are merely a guidance to give us a unified vision. Read More
Instruments: Piano Synthesizer Mallet Percussion
I am a pianist and mallet percussionist. I grew up playing piano and percussion and double majored in both instruments in college. I work primarily a pianist in town but will occasionally go on the road as a jazz vibraphonist with various groups. I've toured playing various genres with several bands in over four continents. I have also taught as an adjunct professor at two different universities. As a performer my greatest accomplishments have been performing with such jazz greats as Clark Terry, Herbie Hancock, and Kenny Garrett. Read More
Instruments: Piano Violin Cello Viola Electric Violin
For my beginning students, I typically start with either Essential Elements 2000 for strings or Sound Innovations. Both books give younger students a grasp on the fundamentals of technique. As they grow I then introduce solo repertoire by using the Suzuki Books but also like to add a fiddle book. Sometimes students gradually go either to fiddle or to classical. I try and encourage what they are more comfortable with. For adults, I try to find out what genre of music they enjoy and try to gauge their ability level with a couple playing evaluations. Read More
