I taught classical flute and recorder in the Austrian school system and music schools for 15 years. Later, I was the band director and music teacher for the grades 4-12 grades in the Syracuse City Schools. I conducted a concert band, jazz band and had over 70 students in my band programs. As an adult I had a few bassoon lessons. I also sang in Chorus and Choir from elementary school through high school. My other experiences with music were with theater and dance. For beginners through intermediate, I like to start with the basic exercises to include using the Arban Conservatory Method for Trumpet and work on the fundamentals of good tone quality and good intonation.
