For beginning students who are children, I typically like to start with rudiments and technique studies. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will introduce the Moeller method. Later will move to the drumset and apply all 3 methods and became to develop what I like to call he groove and bass excises and different warm ups. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. Read More

I understand the needs of young students and works to instill confidence in every musician I teach. I began flute later than many (age 14 to be exact). I remember how daunting learning a new instrument can be, and I aim to instill confidence and joy in all of my students. Read More

For beginning students, I like to work out of the Rubank Elementary Method book. We further move on to the Intermediate and Advanced methods while also adding solo repertoire that is suitable to their skill level. Along with these method books, we will also work on music that they personally enjoy. Disney music and easy Gershwin pieces are good staples for a beginning student along with their traditional method books. Read More
