I began piano lessons with my mother at the age of 8. At 17 I began studies with Irma Harter at the Edith McIntosh School of Music on Long Island, New York. I earned her Bachelor's degree at Adelphi University, where I studied exclusively with acclaimed concert and recording artist David Bradshaw. I also studied with Laurie Ticehurst-Poole at the Bryn Mawr Conservatory from 1996 to 2005, where I participated in master classes. I will have the have a notebook so that every class we can write down what the student needs to practice and and work on till next time. The student might feel bored in the beginning but I hope to show the student the fun in learning music and how rewarding it feels to learn a piece. By working with a broad selection of methods I can better address the different needs and challenges of every student and provide them with an individual program to help them reach their goals faster. I have also noticed that by mixing different methodical systems I can attain the students attention and keep them interested in practicing as opposing to only using one method, which sometimes becomes tiresome for the students and they get complacent. I have been playing in original and cover bands for 30 years and I currently perform as a guitarist, keyboardist, and vocalist in a cover band that I founded in 1999. My band has appeared on VH-1 and we have had the opportunity to play up and down the East Coast. As a volunteer, I perform as an acoustic guitarist in a church music group every Sunday.
