Also, I avoid repetitive drill and favor teaching derivation such as intervals as the basis of all scales and chords instead of memorizing scales. While still in high school I was the assistant conductor for my schools string orchestra and ran a small jazz ensemble at the Richmond Youth Jazz Guild. In 2019, I graduated from Temple University with a B.M. in Music Therapy/Cello where I studied both classical and jazz music.
