I typically use the Suzuki method violin books, but I can also work with Strictly Strings and Essential Elements. Depending on the natural strengths of the student, we may start with music fundamentals or jump right into violin setup and technique. I typically pair the books with exercises of my own invention meant to isolate the technique at hand for that lesson. I am from a traditional classical singing background. I use vocal exercises to not only strenghen the voice but to build a strong singing foundation. Hopefully, by the end of the lessons there will be no need for a microphone. For young singers we will focus on classic tradional basic song literature as well as have fun with popular music. Adults can bet that I will help them fine tune and build a sound and secure vocal technique for what ever repertoire they are needing guidance on. Read More

For students of any level, I tend to always focus on mastering breathing and classical technique. I believe that it is imperative that students develop this way as it is fundamental to any true vocalist. My methods are quite particular to the individual and their natural strengths and weaknesses, but I approach every student with a tried and true structure that leads to fast and noticeable results. I also tend to use written material lending to the classical technique as a way to standardize practice times to structure individual progress outside of lesson time. Read More

From 2011-2012, I interned at the National Guitar Workshop in New Milford, CT where I study pedagogy (teaching styles) and got to attend a master class with shred-guitar heavy weight Paul Gilbert. After New Paltz, I moved to NYC and earned my Masters Degree at the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College and taking advantage of the cultural offerings of the big city before moving back to Buffalo, NY in 2013.
