I'm farely new at teaching and the idea of it hasn't appealed to me till the beginning of 2017. There has been more moments than I can count where I had to teach others the art of music. I've worked for many different customer service jobs and have accumilated over 4 years of experience in that. I feel that I will be able to apply these skills to the teaching experience and perhaps grow as an idividual. Read More

By day, I am the high school and middle school Choral Director, General Music Teacher, and Voice Lesson Teacher at Mineral Point. By night, I serve as the Musical Theatre Director at the school, and offer private vocal lessons. I was an Adjunct Instructor of non-major voice lessons at NYU Steinhardt for three years, and an independent lesson teacher in the NYC metro area. As a guitar instructor for more than twelve years, the main goal of my teaching strategy is to keep my students motivated and engaged. This strategy can keep the students’ passion all along their academic journey. It also helps them to stay focused on their future goals despite some difficulties and obstacles that can face them through the learning process. Moreover, keeping effective communication with the students outside and inside the school is vital, in order to assist them in their studies and make the school environment more friendly and acceptable. I first began teaching while at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. This was the first time I learned that a student can make remarkable progress at an instrument, given the right encouragement and direction. Since moving to Madison, I have begun teaching at Heid Music, and have been gradually growing a studio on the three instruments I teach. The problem with this studio, however, is that studio availability is somewhat limited, and so it has become more practical to turn online to find more students. Read More

I am a very enthusiastic instructor who loves to discover everyone's unique musical gifts. I recently received my Masters of Music in Vocal Pedagogy from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. A Nashville native, my performance experience is varied and includes professional opera roles, oratorio and early music performances, background vocal performances with pop and rock bands, and recording studio experience. I love performing with groups; some of my favorite memories are collaborative performances I have shared with other vocalists and instrumentalists. Read More
