For beginning students who are children, I typically start with blend of methods based on the game form of learning, in which all the appropriate to the child's age skills are acquired through the fun techniques and songs. My aim is to motivate, inspire, challenge and empower you to become the best version of yourself. I firmly believe that the best way to get the best out of the lessons is to communicate and be open to listening to what each other have to say. More importantly, I feel its the responsibility of the instructor to listen to the student, their goals, needs, dreams and help them get there through whichever method necessary. Read More

Nothing is better than seeing consistent progression of my students, while seeing their passion for music develop simultaneously. Every student has a different path and journey to learning their instrument, and it is my job to help guide them down that new path, something that is greatly rewarding for both parties. Instilling confidence into students is something I absolutely always strive to do day in and day out, as providing a positive, supportive, and patient environment is something that greatly benefits students. Immediately after graduation, I moved to Los Angeles to enroll at the Musicians Institute (MI) Drum Performance Program, granted with two scholarships, the ‘Musicianship Scholarship’ and the ‘International Musicians Merit Scholarship’. I am very proud of the 15+ years of teaching music and the formal training I had in Music Education and at MI. In 2015, I had the opportunity to teach symphonic percussion to teenagers at Escola de Música da OSPA (Porto Alegre’s Symphony Orchestra school). Read More

I always keep an open attitude and make my lessons energetic and exciting, while still being constructive. I love seeing my students' faces light up when they hear a cool lick, or when they nail a song they've been working on. That feeling makes the whole experience worth it for me, and I feel very lucky to teach music for a living. It's a pleasure to turn my students on to music and artists they've never heard before and seeing them grow into confident and mature players. Read More
