I have been teaching private lessons for about 2 years, both for a company and privately. These lessons include beginner piano, voice, and violin. In my music therapy internship I have also had the experience of teaching adaptive piano, guitar, and ukulele lessons. Finally, while I am not yet board certified and cannot offer music therapy until next school year, I have over 1,000 hours of music therapy clinical experience in which I use musical activities to help clients achieve non-musical goals in the areas of cognition, emotion, physical abilities, communication, social skills and academics. I am a passionate music instructor who loves working with students of all ages and abilities. I have a Bachelors Degree from the Boston Conservatory, and a Masters Degree from Florida State University, both in guitar performance. I like to design my approach around each individual student, depending on their interests, age, and ability. Read More

Having fun is a necessary condition for learning, so I try to cultivate a fun, laid-back, no-pressure atmosphere in my lessons. Every student has their own particular set of strengths and weaknesses, goals and time contraints. I take the time to understand what each student is looking to get out of their lessons and custom-tailor a unique lesson plan for each student accordingly. I am a very patient teacher, so students will always have as much time as needed and as many repeats as needed to master a particular passage or concept. Read More

I began teaching music lessons over a decade ago while I was as a junior in high school and continue to teach to this day. While studying music at Umass Lowell, I taught for two years at the local music store, University Music. There, I worked with a diverse array of students from toddlers to adults, many of whom spoke english as their secondary language. After transferring to Umass Amherst to finish my degree, I began teaching at both Guitar Center in Portsmouth, NH and Zach Field Drum Studios in Newburyport, MA. Read More

I enjoy sharing my musical knowledge to students so they will advance in their musical aims. In 1983, I attended The Guitar Institute of Technology and studied privately with Frank Gambale, who formalized the single line "sweep technique" on guitar. While in L.A. I also studied with Ed Mann, longtime Frank Zappa percussionist and teacher at Cal. Arts. In Boston, I became assistant to George Russell on the revision of his 1953 copyrighted and published book "The Lydian Chromatic Concept Of Tonal Organization" released in 2001. Read More

I started piano lessons at the age of 7 (I am now 45) and have never started being involved in music in one way or another ever since. It is both my passion and my career. My passion for music means that I am always learning more about it and working to improve. My career in music has led me on travels around the world; I have played in Rome, Switzerland, Spain, Ecuador, Argentina, and all over the USA. Read More
