I like to start by getting to know my students - what their musical goals are, what level they are at, and who inspires them to play. From here, I am able to customize lesson plans to meet each student where they are at. I always begin with theory; it is of the utmost importance, and the foundation of everything in music. My favorite series of instructional books is the Guitar Grimoire series by Adam Kadmon. Read More

I like to teach at your pace. If you want me to teach you songs, we can learn tabs and chords. Also, I can teach fundamental music theory which includes things like scales so you can solo on your guitar in certain keys of the song. The theory will also tell you which chords you can play, so if someone says play in G minor, you know what notes are the right ones to play. Read More

I have over twenty years of experience in teaching public classes and private lessons. I have a great joy in discovering breakthrough moments where everybody can work together towards achieving their personal goals. Though it is true that every person is unique and different, it is always great where folks can get together and share the love that is music whether that be performing or simply sharing a tune with a loved one or neighbor.
