My passion, discipline and determination to be professional at all costs helped me to graduate from BIT, and Pasadena Music Academy, and immerse myself into the music scene as a gifted multi instrumentalist concentrating on bass.  I can sight read, play by ear, arrange music, and play any style or genre. I have toured with international artists who have inspired me to continue performing throughout my life. Read More

PRACTICE. The bottom line way to get good at guitar is to PLAY IT. We can show you all kinds of techniques and theory but you have to want to pick up that thing and have it in your hands. Fiddle with it during the TV commercials. You have a need to squeeze that neck everyday. Together we can expand your knowledge base, but you hold the ultimate key to your success - practice. I really covered this in the above information,so continuing in more detail,it really depends on each individual student, their level of ability and age that determine the course of study. It also depends on the instrument. Some instruments like piano, violin or viola, books are more practical because the music is notated. With most fretted instruments, music is written in tableture which was originally used for the lute and brought back i think in the 1970s.Its easier than reading music and is more practical for those instruments. I started my musical studies at a summer workshop coarse athe the University of Southern California where I studied Jazz performance. Then I attended a local community college in New England where I received my certificate of music and from there I went on to  the University of Massachusettes where I received my associates of music education degree. We played in New York, New Jersey and Ohio, and of course, Florida. I've always like the creative arts, which led to owning my own advertising agency based in Saint Petersburg, managing advertising accounts that included a division of Anheuser Busch Agricultural. For the last eight year, I have been with the Downtrodden Road Band. Currently, I play part time with the Down Trodden Road Band writing and recording. Occasionally we play large gatherings, but mostly, play for our friends and neighbors. Read More

For beginning students who are children, I typically start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. I truly believe in giving my students the freedom to select the songs and/or genres they like and that's because I believe passion is an integral aspect of learning. Read More

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
