Some time in 2006 I was asked by the director to become his assistant and began taking on groups of my own. In 2007 I also joined ECMM as a sales associate and apprentice luthier in their shop, selling and working on guitars and other instruments. It was unfortunate that ECMM closed in 2009 after 33 years. Working at East Coast was a great experience for me and something I will always cherish. What I loved most about the ROA program was that as I transitioned from a student to a teacher, I adopted the same teaching style as my mentor: let the students choose what they want to learn and help them to learn and perfect it. I began teaching my younger brothers to play guitar almost since I started learning myself. Professionally, I've worked for Curtain Call in Stamford, CT to help run their Summer Youth drama program. I also directed, music directed, and choreographed the musicals at Trinity Catholic Middle School for two years. Privately, I've worked at the Schule of Music, instructing young children in guitar lessons.
