I'm positive, goal focused, and hugely passionate about music! I want my students to love music as much as I do! I grew up taking lessons from teachers who treated it too much like a job. I think that'll rub off on how a student views music. Setting realistic goals with tons of encouragement will help accelerate learning. I see the most success when my students hit their first milestone and they finally realize all their hard work pays off and they can make music! Read More

Usually, I will select whichever one I feel the student will be most successful utilizing. A couple of examples of method books I use are Standards of Excellence and Student Instructional Course. With over 17 years of experience as a guitarist, I've mastered my craft through self-teaching, deep dives into online courses and music theory books, and learning alongside fellow musicians. Currently, I perform with a local Milwaukee band called The Dead Pixels and play guitar for my church, Mercy Hill, where I also volunteer for various events. Read More
