I believe that motivation begins with excitement and there is no better way to help a student stick to a practice routine than teaching him or her to play their favorite songs. Of course, a knowledge of music theory is very important, but I always make sure that we don't get bogged down in minutia, and that each student is allowed to proceed at his or her own pace. A practical and usable knowledge of music's fundamentals is employed to get results and keep the student motivated and actively learning. Read More

My teaching style is fun and relaxed but still making sure that you are learning something new in every class, I was a beginner at some point and it brings me joy seeing how the students discover the guitar for the first time because it reminds me of myself when I was just learning. My lessons are based on a transfer of enthusiasm. When I get my students to hear what I hear and feel what I feel, there's nothing more rewarding! Their goals are my goals and we work together to achieve them at a pace I can assess by their progress. Again, I don't teach music, I teach how to play the instrument, big difference, greater results! Read More
