At the later stages of the beginner course, students will dive into complex chords, power chords, barre chords, and playing with a capo as well as learning when and how to transpose songs of various musical keys using a capo. For intermediate to advanced students, I will teach them how to play more melodically as well as improve their finger dexterity. Students will learn how to play in alternate tunings as well as solos and single note lines/riffs in addition to exploring the guitar fret board in its entirety via the CAGED system and chord inversions/triads. I have a love for all kinds of music and look forward to teaching people that have the same. From country to rock, or whatever makes students want to pick up the instrument is what I'll use to teach them what they need and want to learn on the guitar. I always push students so they can reach their goals on the instrument. I will always give homework that will push them, but I make sure that I set a pace that they can handle. Read More

My music is an explorative collage of rhythm and harmony that incites emotion, creating a wild and memorable experience for listeners. I source inspiration from an array of influences, ranging from Miles Davis, to The Beatles. My musical pieces are born during a 3–4 hour session at the piano, and refined through excessive scribbling, and endless rehearsing. In the past year, I have expanded my professional development to work as an educator, and a scholar of music. Read More

I cater my teaching curriculums to the student's interest and proficiency level. The first lesson would involve a discussion about what initially drew the student to the guitar, what genres they love, and what they hope to get out of the class. Next, we will go through the fundamentals, as appropriate for the student's skill level. After we've established a clear vision and certain rhythm of doing things, I would assign 15-20mins of warm-ups for each lesson -- tailoring the warmup exercises to specific techniques that the student wants to improve in.
