I used to play in local bands but no longer have the time. Teaching students gives me the opportunity to be more engaged with music and to play more often. If you are willing to practice and follow the finger exercises as shown regularly, you will be playing solo in a matter of weeks. If you cannot devote a minimum of 3 hours/week to practice, it will take more time. Read More

I tend to be very patient with students and understand that if they are not enjoying the lesson they will not learn or practice as much as they should. I try to get my students playing music quickly, once they are playing and not just practicing it becomes fun. I use small duo pieces that allows the student to learn a very simple melody then play along with me. This become quite enjoyable in a very short amount of time. Read More

I been teaching this instrument before even attending my college. My students always learn very fast while having lots of fun. They will gain a lot of information regarding music theory and learn many songs and how to create their own songs. My teaching method is fun becasue I like to play the guitar with the student and have us switch roles of lead guitar, and rhthym guitar. Read More

For beginners I usually start with a simple melody or riff. I love teaching Painting Black by The Rolling Stones because it is simple to play. Not only that, but it's a song that's easy to identify for most people's ear. I usually take my time allowing the student to learn. One or a few hours are enough to start learning the song. Once I leave, the student's homework is practice as often as possible in order to get some fluency on the instrument. Read More

I started professionally teaching bass and guitar in high school. I still have all of my students that I started out with. Making sure that my students don't get bored during a lesson is my main goal. Most students don't practice what they were taught in a lesson if the lesson was boring. I make sure that all my students stay happy in the lesson and excited to learn new things. Read More

I have taught at several schools including one in which I graduated from, and privately on my own as well. I've played with a wide variety of musicians, both experienced and unexperienced, young and old, and have learned from all of my experiences. I look forward to helping create new young musicians that will eventually be the world's leaders in creativity, and those who wish to learn music as a self-rewarding experience. Read More
