I have spent the majority of my life as learning the guitar and studying music, and I am dedicated and passionate about sharing my knowledge and love of the instrument with the students I teach. I graduated from Berklee College of Music with a Bachelors Degree in Guitar Performance and recently just moved to Nashville where I am currently playing professionally and teaching students. I grew up traveling with my older siblings who are all musicians, and we would perform all over for concerts, weddings, social events, churches, and more. In college at SMU, I studied finance, but quickly got a double in music, studying classical music under Alfred Mouledous (world renowned pianist) and focusing my free time on jazz. By trying to find out what inspires the student, I can successfully tailor my instruction to their wants and needs. This approach yields better results than forcing a student to stick to a certain method exclusively. I encourage students to divide their practice time into practicing fundamentals and technique, songs that teach them a certain concept or technique, and songs that they would like to perform or play for fun.
