I am a classical guitarist based In Ventura County. I have been playing guitar for over a decade and have completed studying classical guitar performance in the Applied Music Program at Los Angeles Valley College. Playing the classical guitar is, among other things, the art of playing an entire piece of music (melody, accompaniment, bass) on the guitar. Read More

My style is one that seamlessly adapts to all ages, learning styles, and backgrounds, resulting in a high student retention rate over the years. I provide an exciting and positive environment for students to not only learn fundamentals and techniques, but also to find and express their unique musical voice. As lessons progress at the student's pace, it's important to keep discovering what they love about music and what inspires them to learn (song, artist, style, musician friend). Read More

Every student progresses at their own pace. I write out the homework for the week on a piece of paper for both them and the parent to see. When their expectations are written out, it's easier to see how far they've progressed. Most of my lessons start out with asking how their week went and how much practice they were able to get in. We then review the material from the week before and talk about the progress or any difficulties they may have come across during the week. Read More
